Big Changes

Okay guys, so I'm sure you've noticed, but there's a couple of pretty big changes in the works right now.

First off we have a [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] for new people to gawk at and make us look pretty There's no registration or anything for it, it's just there to look cool and provide information to potential players on what the simm is and things of that nature.

Another is that the Simm's focused is changing, which is also why my CO Character has changed. The Indefatigable is now going to host a detachment from the Starfleet Corps. of Engineers. Now what is this detachment? If you've played the Elite Force series of games think of it as an Engineering equivalent of a Hazard Team. Everyone in the detachment has a regular role in addition to the one they have on the detachment. Meaning if you're a Tactical Officer on the team you're going to do be doing tactical officer stuff, but when the team is needed you're going to serve as a sort of Security/Tactical specialist for the team, and you'll have advanced knowledge of starship tactical systems and what makes them tick and more Engineering related knowledge as well. This is being done to give the simm a bit more of a focus, as to provide a setting that isn't quite so bleh, or generic as it is currently.

If you wish to make a new character to fill one of these roles, feel free to send me a PM and I'll reserve it for you while you write a new character or tweak your current one to fill this new role. Some changes will also be taking place on the forums to help facilitate this over the coming week, so you might notice small changes in the rules section or the open positions area. Information on the Detachment and how it operates will also be added. The biggest change however is that our current mission zero is going to be archived, and replaced with an updated one that it's intended to go at faster pace and get us into mission 1 ASAP. In addition I should be more active going forward, and I apologize for not being around as much as I should have been. If there are interactions or JP's that can be taken from it and used in the new one they will be as well, but if everyone does a different character or something of that nature, none of those posts will be used, although they will still count towards other things, like overall count and general participation. If there's a post you'd like to have re-added let me know and I will re-add it as well.
