I don't see why not. Especially when the shit hits the fan and Reneé has to ask for solutions towards the Engineering side of it all. It's not Danny's fault if it's not going to plan, he's not an officer. So it'll be up to the Bolian to face the blonde wrath and without a Vulcan to give a soothing neck pinch she'll probably be 'motivating' him by chasing him around Benny Hill style while carrying a homemade flame thrower.

Metaphorically of course.

Sounds like fun. I am sure he will great at coming up with reasons how it's not his fault when the shit hits the fan. But for general reference its been my experience a lot of CO's and XO's will turn to the Chief for guidance because their junior officers are too dumb...especially Academy grads Wink

And thus the cycle is complete, we have another NCO we can rely on in the Star Trek world.

Problem with Reneé is that she's not used to dealing with problems that can't be fixed with superior fire power so I can see the temple vein pulsing already. She was brought on board because of her combat experience with the obvious tomfoolery that the Breen are up to.

She was suppose to slowly overcome that to look at things from the Fleet perspective as a form of character development.

Now I'll settle for making the blue boy cry.

Sounds good, I will throw a post for him together in a bit. See look at that, it IS nice that you have an NCO that solves problems like XO morale for you.

Just when my heart was about to become a near dead core of cynicism you save the day. Razz

Despite us having till the 17th till stuff happens with our TFCO declaring us kaput (well, not kaput. Till some shuffling is done with us getting a new captain. Either he'll say himself or tell me to tell you.) I don't want to sacrifice the posts for a mad dash to finish the mission. Looking at the plot offered to us it suggests both ships get the crap kicked out of them and when they drift into the nebula they are still slugging it out with the boarding etc etc.

First off I'd want you to have dibs on what is broken and how broken it is for Oliver our acting XO to have to work around that during the space battle. While Reneé is off doing her anti-boarding action I see no reason why he shouldn't take command to stave off the Breen in the nebula. Strategics is a pretty passive role in combat and I want to get all three (four if our Chief Diplomat is about) involved while we go down swinging.

However between the battles outside and inside the nebula we could convene as a way of pacing in the observation room for us to ICly lay down the damage, options etc.

Thoughts?

Ok, start off with our shields failing and then massive power outages and maybe sensors going offline too, that forces us into the nebula for repairs. We can all pace in the observation room (in the dark maybe? with just the emergency lights). I will give the damage estimate, you yell at me and as we work to get the ship up and running the breen follows us in and that is when the boarding happens.

Definitely, plus if you haven't done so, check out my bio in the Starfleet history section. Plus I may have recruited a medical officer today. I think for the faster paced action to get written a series of quick fae liner jp's is preferable to a longer post then lots of those bouncing back and forth can make a good length post.

Cool on both accounts. And yeah, JPs would do well to keep up the pace of it all. I was going to initiate the contact after your post if that was ok?

EDIT: Conn officer eh? Mmm....

Guess I managed to squeeze that post off after all. I'm so glad I managed to start my third chapter or I would have been all over the place.

Nicely done, I am going to eat lunch and run some errands and I will have our trusty NCO calming down a bunch of scared crewmen and maybe our blue man cowering in the corner somewhere for some added fun

Sorry I haven't been on very much, I've missed so many opportunities to pop-in!

Ugh... I've been fighting with the influenza, and what not this past... month since I've last popped up. Sorry if my story post causes any problems or is incongruous. If there are any problems, let me know and I'll rectify them.

Excellent post from our CDO! All these options weighing up Renee's mind!

No real problem mate, sorry to see you've got a bit of the lurgie. At least you won that battle.

As for problems with the post not really no. It throws a curve ball for Reneé because she had a plan. Now it's been warped by this new idea offered to her. All part of being a captain, acting or otherwise!

So it seems we have a Security Chief who is trying to join but because you do not have admin you can't approve him. Is that what I am seeing here?

That and I don't have the sanctioned ability from the Fleet. I'm an Acting Captain not a Captain proper. Even if I had admin access I wouldn't be able to.

Scratch that, re-read the post from the TFCO. I can approve it by the powers vested unto me for the time being but it's a forum issue.
