How to format your posts
The purpose of this topic is to give players new to play by forum simming a look at how to format your posts properly.
Here's what a basic one should look like:
Current Location (Ship, Planet, Asteroid Base, etc..)
Specific Location (Bridge, Deck 1, Main Shuttlebay, etc..)
Time (Time of the day)
Day (The simms current day)
Whatever you have to write
OFF
And that's it. There should be no tags at the end of your mission in-character posts. The joint post development section is the only place where tags should really be used. For developing a joint post it should go something like this:
Current Location (Ship, Planet, Asteroid Base, etc..)
Specific Location (Bridge, Deck 1, Main Shuttlebay, etc..)
Time (Time of the day)
Day (The simms current day)
Whatever you have to write
<tag>
If you want you can leave the tag for anyone, or write someone else's name after the tag if you want someone specific to reply. There reply would look like this:
Current Location (Ship, Planet, Asteroid Base, etc..)
Specific Location (Bridge, Deck 1, Main Shuttlebay, etc..)
Time (Time of the day)
Day (The simms current day)
Whatever you have to write
Whatever they have to write
<tag>
When you're done replace the <tag> with an <end> or <end?> if you think someone else might want to write something. Now when you're getting ready to post it make sure you copy it from the text editor otherwise none of your formatting (like italics) won't paste over as well. A finished joint post should then be posted in the mission topic and look like this:
Current Location (Ship, Planet, Asteroid Base, etc..)
Specific Location (Bridge, Deck 1, Main Shuttlebay, etc..)
Time (Time of the day)
Day (The simms current day)
Whatever everyone had to write
OFF

Other formatting tips:
- Italics should only be used for your characters thoughts, and names of ships.
- If someone is using a commbadge separate that text with =/\= symbols to indicate as such.
- Please for the love of Roddenberry do not use different colors in your posts.
- If you still have questions feel free to ask!

Re: How to format your posts
I want to change the 'Simm's Current Day' to the 'Mission Day' otherwise we'll all have to buy calendars for one another.
